The countdown has begun.
On Saturday, May 30th, 2009, the Hidden Valley Retreat and Spa will announce the lucky winners of its "Who Wants to Win a Wedding?" Contest.
One lucky couple will receive a 70-person dream wedding to be held on our historic property on September 12th, 2009.
In anticipation of what is to come, we will randomly be posting a short blurb about couples who have entered our contest.
You are encouraged to vote for your favorite couple by clicking on the "Comments" link at the end of this posting. Simply tell us why YOU think the profiled couple should win. But, no worries, this isn't American Idol and, utlimately, it is us at Hidden Valley who are choosing the winners. So, stay tuned, start subscribing, and read on to this week's couple...

Julie and Rodney of San Diego, California.
It must be fate for these star crossed lovers whose paths first crossed as sweet, innocent children. This random meeting became a consistent happening as they continued to grow through adolescence. Although the attraction was mutual and immediate, nothing more became of their young, developing romance. That is until 2007, when destiny bumped them into each other once again. This time around, however, the timing has been nothing but right. On January 30th, 2009, Rodney got down on bended knee and this local couple has known that it was meant to be from the very beginning.

ReplyDeleteThey have both been through so much in life. They want to be together regardless of the trials in life. They believe in eachother more than anyone else in their lives. They will be married no matter what, but it would be awesome, and a great blessing if they won this incredible gift!
julie is a free spirit who brings joy to all that know her. Ron is a very nice individual. they are both deserving of this wedding and will become a great family

Anyone who knows Ron and Julie KNOWS they deserve this wedding! But... let me appeal to your practical side... if you want awesome word of mouth advertising, Julie is your girl! When she gets enthusiastic about something, EVERYONE hears about it. And, believe me - her enthusiasm is contagious! They are a strong couple who have been through a lot and their gratitude will overwhelm you. I promise you... when Julie and Ron win this, she is definitely going to cry. ReplyDeleteI have been friends with both Rodney and Julie going on 14 years now. I have witnessed firsthand the trials they've gone through over the years, just as I have witnessed their friendship grow to love. I can honestly say that the positive changes in Rodney since they have been together are evident. Not only does he have love for her,but he also has love for her boys that she works hard to support & raise.They deserve this and anyone who knows them,knws that.

ReplyDeleteI have known Ron for over ten years and Julie for about seven. I have witnessed their love for each other blossom throughout the years. They have grown up with each other and it’s defiantly fate that they grow old with each other. Julie is a hard working, smart mother of two handsome boys and deserves to be happy and blessed with a beautiful wedding. They are both genuine, loving people that love each other very much and they deserve to win this wedding!
